Pina Colada

Pina Colada

A tropical cocktail made with rum, coconut cream, pineapple juice, and crushed ice, originating from Puerto Rico.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz (60 ml) white rum
  • 2 oz (60 ml) coconut cream
  • 4 oz (120 ml) pineapple juice
  • 1 cup crushed ice
  • Pineapple slices and maraschino cherries for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Preparation:

  • Gather the Ingredients: Collect all the necessary ingredients - white rum, coconut cream, pineapple juice, crushed ice, and garnishes.
  • Prepare the Blender: Set up a blender and ensure it's clean and ready for use.
  • Measure Ingredients: Measure out the white rum, coconut cream, and pineapple juice according to the recipe.
  • Add Ingredients to Blender: Pour the white rum, coconut cream, pineapple juice, and crushed ice into the blender.
  • Blend Until Smooth: Secure the blender lid and blend the mixture on high speed until smooth and frothy. This usually takes about 20-30 seconds.
  • Taste and Adjust: Taste the Pina Colada and adjust the ingredients if necessary. You can add more pineapple juice for a sweeter flavor or more rum for a stronger kick.
  • Prepare Glasses: Take tall glasses and optionally rub the rim with a wedge of pineapple and dip it in coconut flakes for a decorative touch.
  • Pour and Serve: Pour the blended Pina Colada mixture into the prepared glasses. Garnish each glass with a slice of pineapple and a maraschino cherry if desired.
  • Serve Chilled: Serve the Pina Colada immediately while it's still cold and refreshing.
